Top tips when nominating

Nominating an individual or team for the WLA Shine Awards is an opportunity to recognise exceptional contributions to leadership. Here are some of our top tips to make a compelling nomination:

Begin with a concise opening statement that succinctly explains why the nominee deserves the Award. This statement should highlight the nominee's significant contributions and their overall impact.
Clearly outline the specific contributions the nominee has made to their field, organisation, or community. Describe the tangible and intangible effects of their efforts, emphasising the positive changes brought about by their leadership.
Provide concrete evidence that supports the nomination. This may include quantifiable data, specific projects completed, testimonials, recognition from peers or superiors, and any other relevant achievements.
Illustrate the lasting results that have emerged due to the nominee's actions. How have their efforts created sustainable positive outcomes? Highlight the long-term effects of their leadership.
If possible, include brief testimonials from individuals who have been positively impacted by the nominee's leadership. These endorsements provide valuable insights into the nominee's character and influence.
Along with the nomination, provide 3 words that best encapsulate the qualities, attributes, or values that define the nominated individual or team. These words should capture their essence and showcase their unique strengths.
